Day 1: Pumpkin Coffee

As many of you know this past Thursday was National Coffee Day. I don't know about you guys, but any excuse to drink coffee, I'll take! Even though it's a bit late, I thought I'd kick off this pumpkin filled October with some of my favorite pumpkin coffee options.

Nothing announces Fall's arrival like my first pick on the list; the infamous Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks. As soon as September hits I start looking for the Starbucks posters announcing it is now in stores. I have to hold back from squealing once I see them, but from mid-September on it is all about Pumpkin Spice, until the Christmas blends arrive that is. Espresso, pumpkin-flavored syrup and steamed milk, topped with sweetened whipped cream and pumpkin pie spice, does life get any better?

And if you're not a Starbucks fan (or can't afford a $20 a week habit) then check out this DIY recipe from thekitchn.com to make this delicious Pumpkin Spice Latte at home.

Second on my list is the Fair Trade Pumpkin Spice K-Cup from Green Mountain Coffee.  If you aren't familiar with the latest single cup serving coffee technology, than you should be. Keurig, manufacturers single brewing coffee machines, making coffee or tea in 200 varieties in less than a minute. Perfect for those of us who just need a single cup or like to try lots of different options. While exploring all the coffee flavors Keurig has to offer, I discovered they have a limited edition Pumpkin Spice blend. I love the convenience of K-cups and that I can enjoy my cup of coffee without leaving my house!

And last but not least on the list you've got your Pumpkin Spice coffee creamers.  I've seen some from Coffee-Mate, Lucerne and more. I think these are a perfect stepping stone before you go for the lattes. This way you can test if pumpkin coffee is your thing and control the amount of flavoring in your cup. They are fairly inexpensive and would be a great way to spice up your morning routine.

And if coffee isn't really your thing, hang in there and check back tomorrow because we will have a brand new pumpkin post!
