If you're thinking it sounds weird then you're not the only one. When I first read about this in Food Network Magazine I thought that there was no way that could be good, but was I wrong! The pumpkin butter is a perfect compliment to peanut butter; not over powering but just right. After originally trying this combo on wheat bread I switched to white bread for this post, finding that the wheat bread overpowered the taste of the two together. However, if you've got a special tie to wheat bread, challah bread or another kind of bread, feel free to use whatever you want, I have a feeling would be great on cinnamon swirl bread!

Another one of my favorite uses for the pumpkin butter is simply on toast in the morning. Just like the peanut butter and pumpkin butter sandwich feel free to use your favorite bread. If you're like me then you'll want to add a little butter to the bread before spreading it with the pumpkin butter, it just makes it that much better.

The third way I tried my pumpkin butter was in yogurt. Usually I'm a stickler with yogurt and will only eat strawberry flavored, but, since this is a month filled with pumpkin I figured, hey why not try something new. Take your favorite plain yogurt and add some pumpkin butter, how much you add is up to you depending on how strong you want the flavor to be. Stir and enjoy!
