Bite of the Week: the Frozen Custard and French Crullers from Fog City.
Monday: Rich Table
Birthday Celebration. One of San Francisco's hottest and hardest to get into restaurants, I made reservations for this birthday celebration 28 days in advance, the maximum amount of time in which they take reservations. We tried everything from sardine chips and burrata to the infamous richilini.
6 Year Anniversary. With a gorgeous view overlooking the Ferry Building and the Bay Bridge, Sens is a great place for happy hour in the financial district. Throw in free cocktails and bites for their 6 Year Anniversary Party and I'm there!
Wednesday: La Urbana
Going Away Party. This week saw the end of an era as we saw the departure one of our beloved co-workers. The going away party was held at La Urbana, Divisadero Corridor's newest and hottest sophisticated cantina-style Mexican restaurant. Bites included Aguachile Cevich (avocado, oranges and mesquite), Quesadillas "Tijuana" (manchego, okra and smoked crema) and Huarache de Carnitas (pork carnitas, brioche, mayocoba beans and queso fresco).
Friday: Fog City
Sunday: Ragazza
Date night. The sister restaurant of Gialian's which we've been wanting to check out every since SFist's "The 10 Best Piazzas in San Francisco" article came out. Of course we had to get their meatballs along with the Moto pie and the Wild Nettles with portobello mushrooms pie. We skipped dessert for a chance to hit the local Bi Rite market where I opted for the seasonal pumpkin ice cream.
