Washington, D.C., the capital of the United States and the centers of all three branches of the federal government, and yet I've never been...until now. I found out in December that I'd be making the trek to the nation's capital and immediately did what any good fat kid would do, go straight to DC Eater, study the Eater 38 and the DC Heatmap, and start planning my fat kid tour.
I arrived in DC this afternoon and after checking into the hotel I headed out for my first dining adventure, Mintwood Place. One thing to note is the DC is in the midst of Restaurant Week so many restaurants, including Mintwood Place, are offering a set menu only. Luckily Mintwood Place's three-course tasting menu had plenty of choices.
